ABOUT THE ARTIST
Mary Nell Jackson has been creating art since childhood. She found great joy in playing with pops of color and straying from the boundaries of typical or conservative art. Since graduating from the University of Georgia with her Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1995, she has continued to experiment with various techniques and subject matter, focusing mainly on painting and making maiolica pottery. Mary Nell’s eye for color, texture, and array of media bring a distinct energy to her work, often described as refreshing and fun. She hopes her abstract expressionist work energizes viewers and inspires their curiosity.
